Some days are worse than others as some activities trigger the pain more. No corporeality of massage, stretching, ice or heat helps me.

Anyway, last week I had a ganglion of impar block in my tailbone to see if that is the problem, and it would appear the pain isn't originating from the tailbone as the injection did nil for the pain. I haven't been in the saddle since and I'm starting to dread it. The pain is not excruciating like some of you have described, merely it definitely hurts. Good luck to all of you!

I slipped on concrete stairs covered in ice this past February and hit 4 subsequent stairs resulting in a massive football sized bruise on my bum and hip. Here it is three months later and I cannot sit through a movie with my boys nor can I comfortably slumber. I have searched the spider web for any type of relief and and so far I have come to the understanding that I have a long painful road and must do my best to not continually hurt information technology.

I've fallen twice in my life with the issue of a cracked tailbone. The commencement time was when I was in my early twenties. The snow sled went ane way and I the other - and I landed solidly on a small-scale tree stump. The 2d was a week agone (I'm in my early fifties now) when I slipped on the carpet downward the stairs. Both times, the hurting was so bad it took my breath away and made me nauseous and faint. I walked and walked while I mentally assessed my injuries. Walking tin be painful. Tightening my glutes is painful. Sitting downwardly and standing up is painful. Riding on a bumpy road is painful. Unfortunately, it just takes a long time to heal... several months as I call back. Keep moving. Try anti-inflammatory medications. Exist nice to your injured area and try to be more careful next fourth dimension. Adept luck with the healing!

Even with all of these things, the pain can last three to half-dozen months or longer. Good luck to anyone with this hurting.

Since the injury, sit down-ups or other floor exercises are very painful. Sitting for extended periods is also very uncomfortable.

I thought, after one week, the pain yet persists and could it be more serious than it is! Seeing all the postings hither gave me some mental expectation of how long the healing might be and it'due south a relief that it's normal. But I sure promise the pain goes abroad fast!

A week and a solar day ago, I cruel on my tailbone. I was dancing on my dining room floor with my friends and I did a jump and fell straight down on my tailbone. It was hard to go up but later on about ii minutes, my friends pulled me up. They helped me into the kitchen and I was in a tremendous corporeality of pain. I was continuing and of a sudden I felt like I would faint. I couldn't really hear and everything started to go black so I saturday down and and so I was okay. I was still in excruciating pain and my leg and my tailbone both hurt. Since then, my leg stopped hurting but my tailbone hurts when I go to stand up upwardly or sit downwardly. Especially when I run, it hurts. When I bend over or move my leg to effort to put on shoes information technology hurts. Today, I was dancing but not a lot, and now it hurts even more.

My son simply fractured his tailbone and is suffering horribly. Our doctor recommended pain meds and muscle relaxants which aid very picayune. I have been request some coworkers and friends who have had this and all say the aforementioned thing---the hurting gets meliorate but NEVER goes away completely. Some as long as 30 years. I work in a hospital and some of these were nurses. God help you all...my heart goes out to all of you lot, especially Anne from D.C.

I vicious ii days ago when my shoes became packed with snowfall and I stepped on the vinyl flooring in the doorway. My entryway quickly became an ice rink and down I went! I landed right on my tailbone and hitting my arm on the doorjamb. The adjacent day I was walking around my automobile in the parking lot and didn't meet the patch of water ice behind my automobile and down I went again! My tailbone injure after the first fall simply after hitting information technology a second time, I could barely walk. The motorcar is torture. I feel every lilliputian crash-land. I take to slide off of the couch. I can't observe a comfy position at night in bed. I oasis't gone to the medico and am taking 600mg of ibuprofen to reduce any inflammation. According to my mother, there is not much they can do for the tail bone and I have a long road to recovery. Hot baths with Epsom salts work the best. Best of luck to anyone else suffering. 72 hours ago I took a bad fall downward a flight of indoor carpeted stairs (about 23 of them). I must have hit my tailbone 4 times before tumbling over spraining my arm, my ankle and finally...at the bottom getting a huge gash on the top of my head...this was bad. I toughed it out for 24 hrs and then finally went to the ER because the headache was then intense and I was afraid of infection and the bruise to my tailbone was and then bad and sore. Turns out after CT scan to my caput and Ten-ray to my tailbone, all is ok (and I'chiliad lucky) only I want to die from this tailbone injury. Honestly I've had 2 kids. I'm a tough cookie. Getting in and out of the car is pure misery. I would gladly accept the head injury any solar day over this pain and they gave me 600mg of ibuprofen, which is more like Pez. I want to go on crying. This is brutal.

I fell on water ice yesterday, and landed on my tailbone extremely difficult. My coccyx area has throbbed non-finish now for two days, and it is almost impossible to discover a comfortable position to stand/lay/sit. Sitting downwards or getting up is pure misery, and trying to find a position to lie is torture. I'thousand ordinarily not a wimp, and have a loftier hurting tolerance, but this has literally kicked my tail (no pun intended). If this takes every bit long to heal every bit people are proverb, and then just shoot me and get it over with. I tin't take aspirin or Aleve or ibuprofen, and then I'm on my own in that location. Judge I'll give up and go to run across my doctor tomorrow and see what they say I can do. Sure exercise hope they tin can practise something, equally this is much more painful than fifty-fifty whatsoever surgery I've had. Wow--who'd have thought that you can actually pause y'all backside?

About 6 months agone I was in my living room and fell comatose on my couch. I fell comatose in an bad-mannered position, with my rear end correct on the edge of the couch, with my legs hanging over, and all my weight on more or less on my tailbone area. When I woke upwardly in the morning, I had large pain in my tailbone surface area. Felt similar someone hit me with a baseball bat. After a couple weeks the bad pain more or less cleared up, simply I still have modest pain and have to be conscientious with I sit. From reading all these other comments, it looks I may be in for a long, long full recovery catamenia (if at all). Nothing tin be washed... simply be conscientious and so you don't aggravate your injury.

Pain has been periodic for 60 years (fractured mine in a horseback fall when I was fifteen). Through peculiar (or non-) understanding of such injuries, I was required to go back on horse, and not immune to stand to swallow or get medical attention. Sitting was excruciating. Caused detail problems with childbirth, I now want to know if it could be related to reduced curvature in my spine (I'm told that norm is 36%, my MRI shows 13%), resulting in pain continuing, sitting, inability to find comfortable seating or sleeping positions.

I fell ten months ago while gardening. I landed on a large rock right on my tailbone area of my barrel. I didn't recollect much of it until the pain seemed to be increasing every bit fourth dimension passed. Afterwards experiencing extreme hurting while sitting, I finally decided to go to my doc. She sent me for an EX-Ray and when I went back to see her, she said everything was fine. I went dwelling and after another couple of months, I returned to my doctor with the same complaint. She so sent me for a bone scan and that too appeared to exist normal. It has been x months at present, and I am and then tired of not being able to sit down on anything simply a direct chair comfortably. The hurting is now hitting when I go to stand up up. My doctor has never examined me, and makes me feel like this is all in my head, when I know it isn't, it is a big pain in the butt. I am allergic to whatever anti-inflammatory, due to a blood clotting status.

I roughshod VERY hard, while skiing, 9 days agone. Of course the first thing to hit the snow was my tailbone, nothing broke the autumn. It knocked the wind out of me. I have suffered in excruciating silence for ix days, thinking in that location was zero anyone could practice for me. And then today, I called my chiropractor. He indicated the healing time could be longer or impaired all together, if there was a fracture or dislocation of the coccyx. I immediately went in, and he said I adapted very easily. The aligning was not painful and I although I still have some pain, information technology is not as excruciating as before, and I am sitting more comfortably today. My advice to everyone, see a chiropractor, who knows what he is doing. I will re-post to tell you when I am completely healed. Thank you for this information.
